Meta Business Leads

Automatically score leads from your Meta (Facebook/Instagram) Leadgen forms. No integration code required!

Dashboard Display

Unlike website leads, Meta Business Leads do not show usage charts or integration instructions on their dashboard. Instead, you'll see a simple placeholder indicating that the lead is configured for Meta Business Manager scoring only.

The dashboard displays:

  • Usage and Bot Removals chart (only for Website-type leads)
  • Score Bucket Trends chart (only for Website-type leads)
  • Integration scripts (only for Website-type leads)

For Meta Business Leads, the dashboard shows a placeholder (...) in place of these elements, as Meta Business Leads receive leads directly via the Conversions API without requiring integration scripts on your website.

When you connect your Meta Business account in Account Settings, LeadBehavior automatically receives and scores all leads from your leadgen forms via the Meta Conversions API.

How It Works

  1. Connect Meta Account — Authorize LeadBehavior to access your Meta Business Manager
  2. Select a Leadgen Form — Choose a leadgen form from your connected Meta page
  3. Create a Meta Business Lead — Configure adjustment values and threshold in the app
  4. Automatic Scoring — Leads are automatically scored via webhook when submitted on your Facebook/Instagram forms

Setup Steps

1. Connect Meta Business Manager

  1. Go to Account Settings
  2. Click Meta Connector
  3. Authorize LeadBehavior
  4. Select a Meta page with admin access
  5. Refresh the page to see your connected forms

2. Create a Meta Business Lead

  1. Go to Leads and click Create Lead
  2. Set Type to Meta Business Lead
  3. Select a Leadgen Form from your connected page
  4. Configure:
    • Positive Adjustment Value (e.g., 1.5x for high-quality leads)
    • Negative Adjustment Value (e.g., 0.5x for low-quality leads)
    • Score Threshold (0-1, default 0.5)
  5. Click Create

3. Configure Adjustment Values

Adjustment values tell Meta how to optimize your ad spend:

  • Positive adjustment — Increases value sent to Meta for high-quality leads (score >= threshold)
  • Negative adjustment — Decreases value for low-quality leads (score < threshold)

Example configuration:

MetricValue
Positive Adjustment1.5 (50% increase for quality leads)
Negative Adjustment0.5 (50% decrease for bot leads)
Threshold0.5 (middle of scoring scale)

4. Verify Webhook Connection

  1. After creating the lead, check the Meta Connector page
  2. Verify the webhook URL is active
  3. Check that leads are being received and scored

Troubleshooting

Leads Not Appearing

  • Verify Meta Business Manager connection
  • Check that the leadgen form is active on your page
  • Ensure webhook permissions are granted
  • Check Meta events log for webhook delivery failures

Score Not Returning

  • Verify your Account ID is correct
  • Check that the Meta Business Lead exists and is not archived
  • Review Meta events log for scoring errors

Conversion Adjustments Not Applying

  • Conversion adjustments are sent in a daily batch (usually within 24 hours)
  • Ensure your Meta account allows conversion value adjustments
  • Check Meta events log for adjustment delivery status

Advanced: Custom Forms

While LeadBehavior automatically scores all leads from your connected leadgen forms, you can also:

  1. Submit form data via webhook — Call the LeadBehavior API directly from a custom form
  2. Use the API for custom workflows — Integrate scoring into your own form handling
